Our study focuses on the different ways that parents and other caregivers may talk with their kids about difficult topics like race. We hope to learn more about the conversations that you have with your kids in order to create better resources for parents everywhere!
What does participation involve?
One-on-one interviews with parents and kids will consist of four main parts:
Consent (15 minutes): We will go over study expectations and your rights as a participant
Parent interview (20 minutes): We will discuss how you currently approach different topics with your children such as race
Child interview (15 minutes): We will ask your child what they understand about these topics
Activity (10 minutes): You will watch a short video with your child and be asked to talk about it together for a few minutes
